General indemnity and privacy policy

Introduction:

By participating in any event or activity arranged or endorsed directly or indirectly by SAPTA (“Events”), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. Your participation in the Events is subject to your acceptance of these terms.

1. Assumption of Risks:

You acknowledge and understand that participation in the Events carries inherent risks and dangers. These risks may include, but are not limited to, personal injury, property damage, and any other risks associated with attending a public event.

2. Release and Waiver:

In consideration for being granted admission to the Events, you hereby release and forever discharge SAPTA, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and any associated entities from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether at law or in equity, arising from or in connection with your participation in the Events.

3. Indemnification:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SAPTA, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from your participation in the Events, your violation of any rules or policies, or any harm caused to other attendees or third parties.

4. Consent for Medical Treatment:

In the event of an injury or medical emergency during the Events, you  SAPTA to seek and obtain medical treatment as deemed necessary for your well-being and agree to be responsible for any associated medical expenses.

5. Governing Law:

This Events Participation Agreement and Indemnity shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, and any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Singapore.

6. Data Protection and Privacy:

You acknowledge that SAPTA may collect and process personal data as defined under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) for the purposes of event administration, communication, and compliance with relevant legal obligations. By participating in Events, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described below.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of your consent for the use of your personal data. a. Consent to Photography:

b. Use of Images:

We will use these images in a manner consistent with the purposes mentioned above, and they may be published on our website, social media platforms, or other promotional materials.

c. Withdrawal of Consent:

If you wish to withdraw your consent for the use of your image, please contact us at info@sapta.sg. While we will respect your request, please understand that we may have already used your image in materials distributed before your request.

d. Images of Minors:

For individuals under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent for the capture and use of their images is implicit given that the parent/guardian has allowed the minor to attend the event.
