About Us

The St. Andrew’s Parent-Teacher Association (SAPTA) was founded several decades ago with well-meaning parents coming together to support the school in its activities. Parents and teachers have partnered together to look after the welfare of all Saints through the formation of the St Andrew’s Parent-Teacher Association, or SAPTA.

The SAPTA Cares Fund is a source of subsidies for children who require assistance.   We are all aware of the consequences of latch-key children. The danger and possibility of them drifting to undesirable company is unavoidable. 

We understand that we may not be able to reach every need.  SAPTA will endeavour to support the school in ensuring that after-school care arrangements are met. This will hopefully bring some relief to parents who have to leave their young children at home alone while they take on jobs to support the household.

We wish to extend this support too to children with special needs. As a community, we would like to help parents understand that they are not alone in their journey. We want to connect with our parents to offer that listening ear or perhaps give them some time off their caregiver duties by engaging their children in meaningful programs that support their socio-emotional development.

Our parents are vessels that need filling too.  

To promote bonding, SAPTA engages speakers who share effectively on parent-child connectedness. SAPTA remunerates these speakers for their time and professionalism through its own funds.

Our Saints family has always loved and looked out for those in our Saints family and beyond. In addition to the programs mentioned, SAPTA also provides scholarships for deserving students to acknowledge their determination and focus on academic excellence. 

We hope to involve all of our parents in our school to unify our community by understanding what SAPTA does. You can show your support and be updated on happenings through our website and social media pages.
