The Diocese of Singapore Building used to be the old school building for St. Andrew's School.
The Lim Teck Kin Tower was used to hang the school bell and the rooms on the 5th floor were only accessible by the prefects.
When Potong Pasir flooded in the past, the bell at LTK tower was rung to alert the residents that the school was a safe place for them to take refuge.
The building was given a UNESCO Heritage Award in 2007 for its preservation efforts. It is currently used by the ArchDiocese and houses the Chapel of Resurrection.
We as young Saints will always remember that when we hear the bell, we must put in our best effort to learn.
Saints must excel in what we do and never forget that we use our skills and knowledge not for self-benefit but for the purpose of serving God.
The bell reminds the boys to put in our best effort to learn. Discuss with your son the following:
